How do I perceive myself? After reading the comment of self-concept and perception in our textbook (Hybels & Weaver, 2007, pg. 30) and how they are so closely intertwined, I agree that how we feel and think about ourselves has a direct impact on how we explore at separates and the world around us. Remember, separately man or woman has their own story to tell. I try to look at a situation from every possible angle, before I make a ratiocination to dismiss someones ideas. Being a good listener not only helps someone else, nevertheless you also learn. When I was in junior high school, I remember competing with other girls to see who could say the most about anything. Now, I sit back and just listen to the conversation and absorb. I am not so eager to blurt out my survey anymore. Being raised in South Carolina, my family taught me that manners result take you a long way.

I hold doors for mess and if I see an old person struggling, I willing help carry their bags. I still say, Yes, Maam and No, Maam to pack who are older than me.
