Average Theme Of Isolation

Exploring a theme or issue sack lend to our enjoyment of a text
INTRODUCTION
I found it genuinely interesting to explore the theme of isolation in my proportional texts. In the novel How Many Miles to Babylon (HMB) by Jennifer Johnston I was fascinated by Jerry and Alecs friendship, the cure for Alecs isolated upbringing. By contrast, I found the play Dancing at Lughnasa (DAL) by Brian Friel quite sad because the Mundy sisters were never going to take flight their isolation, no matter how determined they were. Finally I found the remove Inside Im Dancing (IID) directed by Damien ODonnell very inspiring. It shows how Rory and Michael faced all the obstacles they defeated to escape valve their isolation. Thus exploring this theme greatly added to my enjoyment of each text.

In HMB Alec is an only child who was never truly clear to the real world when he was young. His father was a squiffy Anglo-Irish protestant landowner and his mother was a snob which guide to Alec being home schooled. Alecs isolation in HMB can be compared with Michaels in IID both of them craved an escape from their isolation but the people around them prevented this. We first saying Michael in Carrigmore excluding himself from the group of people watching the cartoon on the television.



Michael notices that the woman hoovering around everyone is going to trip over the blood and tries to warn them but they crop no real campaign to try and understand what hes attempting to say utilise the letter card. DAL is slightly different their isolation is caused by Chris having a child out of wedlock causing comment from society and Kate from refusing to allow the Mundy sisters to socialise.The Mundy sisters have very belittled cash as Kate is the only one with a proper job. Rose, Agnes and Chris make gloves but earn very little money from it and their little income is also a factor in their isolation.
