Madison Roehrig AP Language, B Period October 13, 2011 Mr. Griffith Kings Emotion and Kennedys Logic Both John F Kennedy and Martin Luther Kings speeches are both getting at the resembling point near elegant rights, and how all people should be equal, but they go close it in different rhetorical ways. King reaches for an aflame appeal in his speech, whereas Kennedy workouts logic to make his hearing produce that all people should be treated equally. They both commit the same thing and they both got their audiences to determine with their ideas by the demolition of the speech, but they do this in their experience ways. Fighting for civil rights, King uses emotion to grab his audience and keep them listening. His audience members were also for civil rights as most of them were there for a civil rights march, so since they are already on the same page with his cause, he uses emotion to make them relate it to their own lives so they can keep supporting the civil rights movement. He takes his own emotions in telling everyone about his dreams.

He states I have a dream that my four little children pass on one day live in a people where they will not be judged by the color of their throw together but by the content of their character showing how he wishes things would change for a wear for future for the children of America, including his own children. He gets the audience emotional talking about the future of the democracy that they all live in and how it can and should be better for their children everywhere and skin color wont matter. His use of emotion gets his audience to see his point of view and agree with it, cheering him on and continuing to fight for civil rights in their country. Kennedy appeals to his audience with the use of logic throughout his speech. He says that It was founded on the principle that all men are created equal about America, reminding his audience that this country was not founded without equality of all people.
