Aristotle was a Greek philosopher who wrote slightly diverse subjects such as physics, metaphysics, poetry, logic, rhetoric, politics, government, ethics, biology, psychology and zoology. He was born in Stagira located Federal Greece in 384 BC. He was the most notable product of the educational program devised by Plato and perhaps one of the most authoritative philosophers of his time. His father was Nichomachus who was the court physician to King Amyntas of Macedonia. This is where Aristotles massive association with the Macedonian court began which is what influenced most of his living. His father died while he was still a young boy. So when he was 17, his guardian, Proxenus, sent him to capital of Greece (the intellectual center of the world) to finish his education. He joined the Academy and dog-tired twenty years of his life studying there under Plato. Soon after Platos death he returned to Macedonia where he is supposed to have participated in the education of Alexander the Great. He later came back to Athens and established his own school at the Lyceum. He spent almost the remainder of his life there engaging in research, teaching, and writing.
